The final exterior and landscaping pieces will cover the individual boxes to make it appear to be one unit.
A separate-detachable roof will hold the wiring for the most of the lighting elements of the dollhouse. The roof will be in two pieces, maybe three depending on the weight as I put it together.

ReplyDeleteLove - my only thing is to center the window and possibly make it larger on Box 6. Maybe equalivalent to box 8's window. Love the gables. Also, It looks like the right chimney is shared between 7 and 8. Would be cool, but not sure if you intended this b/c they are "stand alone", but if the roof is it's own piece (pieces), then you could so that. Would be neat to have a double fire place. LOVE!

ReplyDeleteYes, I could move the window more toward the center on box 6. That box is part closet and small bedroom which is why I have the window off-center for now. Once I get it started I should be able to adjust it, plus the exterior landscaping of ivy and bushes might help. Right, the bedroom boxes of 1 & 5 will both have a chimney and share the vent/stack. The other chimney will be in box 7 the front/living room, the back stones will be visible in the garage wall too.
